In January 2009, I traveled to Tanzania as part of a study abroad course in international health with a group from Cal State Long Beach. This was my first trip to Africa... one of what I hope to be many over the course of my career.
We make it to Detroit with just enough time to RUN through the airport to catch our next flight. Who knew that just getting to Tanzania would be so exciting? Six more hours and I’ll be in Europe for the first time in my life!
